Aussie world's team announced

Coming hot on the heels of their Olympic Team Triathlon Australia has announced the Australian team, set to compete at the 2008 ITU BG Triathlon World Championships to be held in Vancouver, Canada in the first week of June. This is a team that looks a little different to the Olympic make up due to the increased numbers allowed to race. Being held in June, the Worlds this year hold significant weight as a form finder and also as a mental edge for those racing the Olympics. In an interesting move 3 time World Champion Peter Robertson has declined his invite to be on this team.

Australian triathlon team's last call before Olympics

The Australian Olympic Triathlon Team announced last Wednesday, got together to rub shoulders with some of the AFL's stars from the St.Kilda Football Club and meet the media before they scatter themselves across the world in preparation for the 2008 Games. The wait is over for the some very nervous triathletes as Triathlon Australia today announced the six athletes chosen as part of Australia's Triathlon Nomination Team for Australia's 2008 Olympic Games squad. The team is not without its' controversy, with Greg Bennett and Erin Densham securing themselves a seat on the plane to Beijing.
