Epic Camp hits Italy
After a successful venture to France in 2006 Epic Camp is now set to make its second trip to Europe with Epic Camp Italy this June. Led by 1988 Hawaii Ironman Champion Scott “Terminator” Molina and 2002 UltraMan World Champion Gordo Byrn the camp will wind its way from Verona towards the Dolomites. The scenic route will take in several of the famous Giro D’Italia climbs.

The spotlight will be firmly focused on Ironman New Zealand this weekend as a red hot field assembles in Taupo for the event's 24th year. IM NZ also signals the countdown to Ironman Australia, with the kick off of the busy North American season not long after. If last year's race is anything to go by, we're in for a huge weekend. Luke Bell is favorite to take out his first Ironman victory, but will have to battle the King of Taupo, Cam Brown.

The Victorian Institute of Sport has unveiled a new weapon for the state's athletes ahead of this year's Beijing Olympics - a heat tent. Designed to replicate the conditions expected in Beijing for the upcoming Olympics, the reinforced PVC heat tent aims help athletes to acclimatise without having to leave home and can reach temperatures of over 40 degrees.

Triathlon stars, Emma Moffatt, Brad Kahlefeldt, Emma Snowsill and Brendan Sexton, have all been named Triathlon Australia’s 2007 Award Winners at a presentation held this evening at Hobart City Hall. This is a welcome result for the ITU triathlon community, as all four have been making significant inroads into the world of Olympic distance racing.
