Cadel Evans - Post World Title win
Cadel Evans is Australia's first winner of the prestigious Rainbow Jersey. He has got close before but this weekend in Switzerland he climbed to the top step of the podium and in doing so he redeemed himself after an average Tour de France. Evans was brave and bold in the finale of the grueling world title race. His break away towards the end was no doubt fueled by the theme of redemption for a season that has not panned out the way he wanted.

Simon Whitfield is considered a veteran on the ITU circuit but he has shown no real signs of slowing up. At the grand old age of 32 Whitlfield is still flying. Considered one of the athletes that changed the face of ITU racing Whitfield still believes he has another few seasons left including another Olympic Games. Given his present form it is not hard seeing him there. We grabbed a quick chat with him after his race on on the Gold Coast.

Matt Reed is an interesting cat. The past two seasons have seen him legitimately have a crack at both the ITU caper and the 70.3 non drafting racing. And he has made a pretty decent fist of it. His big day will come later this season in Clearwater and judging on past efforts he would start as one of the favorites. We caught up with Matt post ITU worlds on the Gold Coast. Ok so we have to be your one stop Emma Moffatt shop here after her amazing win on the Gold Coast to claim her first World crown. Moffatt overcame a foot injury to claim victory over the determined Lisa Norden. We have lined up a video interview with Emma and we also have a seperate interview to listen to (2min) conducted by the good folks at the ITU.
MoreCourtney Atkinson faces the media post race
Courtney Atkinson had a great day yesterday. A 5th place for him in one of the toughest fields of the season was a good result for the Gold Coast native. Atkinson, who has had some good form leading into the event, was happy post race telling the media that this was as best as he could perform. He'll be back later in the year but with a few alterations to his training.
