Wellington and Loy win ITU long course
We are fast running out of things to say about the amazing career of Chrissie Wellington. She is simply the best female athlete racing triathlon right now. And what's more she can do it over any distance. From 70.3 to long course to Ironman Wellington continues to defy the critics to win yet another title. This weekend it was at the ITU long course world titles. With only a few weeks to go until Hawaii the defending champion used this weekend as a hit out. Much to the pain of the other competitors!

Attracting a field of over 2000 age groupers, Ironman Louisville is a huge race and always an attractive spectacle. The top line professionals stayed away from this race as no doubt many go to bed these days with Kona on their minds but this did not detract from some amazing performances within this race as those that saw the opportunity to get a victory cruised in to Louisville to try their luck. In the end some very fast men and women attacked this course.

Over 80 Australians and a world class international contingent of over 200 will contest the three mountain bike disciplines: downhill, X-Country and 4X, in the penultimate round of the UCI World Cup.

Ironman Canada is one of the world's oldest Ironman races. First run in 1983, Ironman Canada has been a staple on the world circuit and has been a popular destination for both professionals and age groupers. Lisa Bentley, Belinda Granger and Lori Bowden have all won here in the women's event whereas the men's has seen the likes of three time Ironman World Champion Peter Reid dominate the roads of Penticton. This year saw three previous champions take to this event no doubt keen to get a victory here. There were also 2400 athletes from 27 countries making it a very international field.
