Reed takes another win Crowie third
Matt Boom Boom Reed has taken another win in the Life Time Fitness racing series in Minnesota. Reed, a perennial favorite in this series had some chasing to do but got it done in the end of a very fast race that featured some of the world's best.
Out of the water it was on as Cameron Dye took a flyer in the water and then transferred that speed to land as he set about gapping Reed and Craig Alexander. The women were being lead by Sara McLarty, a noted swimmer. Mclarty had created a split early and Pip Taylor, Rebeccah Wassner and Sarah Haskins were all in chase mode.

By the end of the bike Dye had the lead but where he looked unbeateable on two wheels on two legs was a different story. He could not hang on as Reed, Chrabot, Alexander, Ospaly and Ellice all went by. A brave effort by Dye to take on the bike but his running legs went a little South after his exertions. Matt Reed closed out his day with the win and a solid run. Breathing down his neck was Matt Chrabot with two time Ironman Champion Craig Alexander in third.
For the women once McLarty was caught they set about the finishing the run in front. Haskins was superior in this department gaining 2 minutes on the rest and taking the race with a well timed burst. Behind her Rebecah Wassner was in second with Mary Beth Ellis in third and a brave McLarty in 4th.
