by R. YOUNG, 23 January 2012agree with you to such a point I would shout you a lager!
+1 for a great comment.
As far as I see it...everyone has different goals for these races...and its about achieving your own goal for the race. For most its not about who put minutes in to who -- my respect goes out to any athlete, pro or AG, Injured or not who races hard and goes home with a smile on their face knowing they have had a real crack and enjoyed the pain!
by In the know, 20 January 2012Meady raced injured...good effort considering
by Stephane VDB, 20 January 2012Great report Phil. The performance of the day goes to Ross Young anyway. 7th overall, 1st in M30-34 and he puts a minute into Meady!!!
by Dave Meade, 18 January 2012Phil fan x 2
by firstoffthebike.com's Phil Wrochna, 18 January 2012Hi Dr Phil - not at all, I've been commentating this series for 8 years now and felt it was time to hand over the reigns and concentrate on firstoffthebike.com (but great to hear I had a fan).
by Dr Phill, 18 January 2012That sounds like the diplomatic way of saying 'we got shafted'. Dissapointing. Im a fan.
by firstoffthebike.com's Phil Wrochna, 18 January 2012Hi - up until recently I've been commentating the SuperSprint GTS so I've been able to give you a bird's eye view. I'm now reliant upon race organisers to provide some of this detail.
by Hey Phill, 17 January 2012Hey Phill, why such a crap report of the Gatorade Race. normally your race reports are the highlight of my week?
by Wilko, 17 January 2012Which Anderson are you talking about? Chad or Ben?
by Runner, 17 January 2012I would be interested to see the correct distance of run leg, im guessing 200-300m short. Agree Tobin-White is a massive talent, but the kid couldnt break 15min at State Track 5k Champs a month ago. A sub 15min off the bike would just be in Kung Fu's legs. Two super talents though and I hope Kung Fu gets to London. A few sessions out the back on the real aqueducts with the big boys at Falls, instead of mucking about on the fast smooth baby aqueduct in town would see a sub 15min off the bike in no time!
by fossil, 17 January 2012exactly my point chiefton...it was anderson i believe that caught up from the pack behind then made all the moves....the swimmers need to grow some balls and have a crack on the bike! having said that....some smoking run times and credit where credit is due...just want to see these guys who are the best going round in full flight would be awesome to watch!
by Chiefton, 17 January 2012Huggett attacking... when? when it was his turn at the front I saw him grab a wheel instead and it stopped momentum of the group. those guys in the front pack of 7 out of the swim should never had let the guys 40sec behind out of the water(anderson) catch up at all.
by spinthespin, 16 January 2012agree Leo.. those ITU junior cats are scary fast!
by fossil, 16 January 2012good to see the likes of anderson and huggett attacking the bike leg on the weekend instead of the usual elite sunday roll around ...might not have payed off this time but at least it bought some respectability and excitement to the elite race!
by Leo, 16 January 2012Some of the ITU juniors that raced yesterday are scary good - Joel Tobin-White ran 14:54 to come in second overall
by spinthespin, 15 January 2012Great morning and the way it was run was well done! My son loved the chance to see the elites in action before his race. Although... what happened to the app??? crashed?
