70.3 Antwerp. A great race with an amazing patron

This year's 70.3 athletes will be aware of the what a great athlete Herremans is with his patronage of the race with revenues going to To Walk Again, Herreman's foundation.

The list of professionals who have shown up for this one is impressive.European Long Distance Frederik Van Lierde looks to be the headline act for Antwerp. He will be taking on the defending Champion in Andrew Johns. Rutger Beke, Bert Jammaer and Luc Van Lierde are also in the line up which will make it a fast one as they are known for their bike leg. The smoky in this race is Luke McKenzie. His win in Ironman Japan showed his strength. He also packs the one of the best swim bike combination in the business.

The women's race will be a hot contest with Belinda Granger taking on Lisbeth Kristiensen and Rebecca Preston. All have tremendous Ironman experience and recent form suggests Granger might be the one to hang on. Yvonne Van Vlerken won here last season and also took out Quelle Challenge Roth last month. She will be hard to beat but expect a fierce battle on the bike.
